PAINTING AND SEEDING
BESIDES THE APPRECIATION OF NATURE IN ITS LIFE FORM, THIS could be seen in wall paintings of the house. Some historians affirm that Pedro Jose Figueroa, (ca. 1770-1838) author of some important pictures of Bolivar, could be the author of this wall painting, because he was the "factory butler" of the church of las Nieves.
The palm and the bird located in the South patio of the dining room, remembered the tropical atmosphere and the allegorical tree of the American continent, that could be seen also at the other side of a woman image in the left superior part of the picture "BOLIVAR and the ALLEGORY OF AMERICA" in the great hall.
In the same way, the garlands of the outer part of the dining room emphasize on the festive aspect of the social spaces. The green leaves shown as laurel crowns, ends at the óculos of the dining room. The roses adorn the great hall windows and two French-style vases support the bindweeds that go along of the hip bath walls of el Libertador.
